About Us Marty Miller, Owner of "Lawn Expressions", has always had a passion for people, parties and celebrations that recognize individuals. She had previously taught arts & crafts in an Occupational Therapy type environment with physically and mentally challenged children and adults. While she and her husband brought up three children, she was a Girl Scout leader, area Brownie director, Tupperware Home Parties Manager, and a staff assistant for a Congressman. In 1987 she decided to start her own business making personalized Memory Books for individuals and couple's birthdays, graduations and anniversaries. In addition to making memory books, Memories & More, Inc. has also done small school's yearbooks, reunion books, various booklets and authored 6 cookbook and party games booklets. |  |
"Lawn Expressions" began in 1991 when Marty wanted to expand into other areas of special celebrations in people's lives, and decided to start the Greeting Cards for Yards business. She started with 5 sign designs and now has close to 20 different designs. Although most people are familiar with the Stork signs for births, Marty wanted other special occasions to be recognized with a large Yard Sign. Signs have been rented for almost every occasion, including a "puppy" adoption to a Prom invitation. Each sign has a personal, keepsake message and balloons and is delivered to the recipient.
A 93 year old senior received a Large Heart in her front yard for her birthday and said, "This is the Best Birthday gift that I have ever received. All my neighbors and even the postman congratulated me and brought me gifts and baked goods!"
"Lawn Expressions" has been featured in articles in several local newspapers and also with special segments on television.
Marty has over 20 yrs. of business experience with 17 yrs in the Celebration Yard Sign Business. Past President of Denver Business Women's Network & Lakewood Business Network. Former Member of National Association of Women Business Owners. Recipient of "Leader of Excellence Award" from CO Governor, 1996. Writer, author, artist & business mentor.
Lawn Expressions is expanding, has hired delivery people and is looking for area distributors.
